The google chrome is considered to be fastest browser according to many users. But google chrome is still behind firefox. Many users doesn’t like chrome because of the lack of features of addons/plugins for which firefox is famous for.
So chrome user can’t use useful plugins like “adbolck plus” plugins. Adblock is a useful plugin which blocks ads in webpages and therefore speeds up the browsing and at the same keeps you PC safe from adware, spyware. For chrome freak there is a good news that you can use adblocking feature.
1. Download Privoxy software from http://www.privoxy.org/
2. Run privoxy. Make sure that the software is running on system tray. The icon has the alphabet “P”
3. Open Google Chrome and click on the icon which look like nut opener and select options.
4. On “Under the Hood” click “Change Proxy Settings”
5. On the “Connections” tab click “Lan Settings”
6. Type “127.0.0.1″ on address and “8118″ on the port (witout the quote)
Click Ok…
