Beyond my expectation, the most underrated anti-virus became the product of the year 2009! The comparative test was done by independent tests of antivirus software, “av-comparatives.org“. All the previous years the winners were Kaspersky, ESET NOD32 and Avira. It seems far-fetched that SYMANTEC who is known to be very famous in consuming memory became the winner. But the report shows that other than consuming memory they showed satisfactory results in scanning speed, detection rates, malware removal, low false positive rate etc… Personally I like “AVIRA” for their easy to use interface and low memory consumption.
