You might have noticed that below windows live messenger there is an advertisement window where you can see some image ads.
You will also find some text ad below the conversation window.
So, why do you need to remove the ads?! What’s the advantages? Removing ads will make:
- Faster signing in
- Less bandwidth consume by the ads so in overall the messenger consumes less bandwidth
- Your messenger becomes more stable, there is less chance of hang/crash
- Less memory consume by the messenger after the removal of the ad
Below are the steps on how to remove the ads:
1. Log onto http://apatch.org/downloads.php and download A-Patch for Windows Live Messenger.. Make sure you check the compatibility by checking the version number given on the site.
2. Run the program. Select “Patch Messenger” option
3. Check the two “Remove advertisement” button and click “Apply”
Done. Now you have the messenger without the ads! Have fun !
