The incidence of hacking hotmail is very common nowadays. Some guy from Nigeria hacked my hotmail account and sent an email to every email id in my contact list where he demanded $2500. And he wrote it perfectly with no grammatical mistake. Below is the message which was sent to everyone in my contact list.
How do I know that the mail was sent from Nigeria ?
I called a friend of mine and asked him to give his password so that I can trace the email’s IP. I logged into my friend’s account and viewed the email’s message source.
The source code which showed up on my browser:
The x-originating-IP showed in red mark is the IP from where the mail is sent. I copied the IP, 41.155.88.147 and pasted it on http://whatismyipaddress.com to find out the location of the IP address. The result showed that the IP is from Nigeria.
I was very depressed because I don’t want to lose all the valuable email and my hotmail was my oldest and first email account. So what happened next ? I got my account back !

One of my Dad’s friend account got hacked and my dad received the same email. He actually believed it since by coincidence this friend of his travels much around the world. He would have sent the money but actually called his friend first. His friend said that his account got hacked and this email was sent to everyone in the contacts list. Nigerians are getting smarter nowadays it seems.
Waiting for the next post to know your way, how you got it back.
But be careful about passwords next time, make them stronger.
best thing you can do is change ur password and avoid giving out infomation to people who look as though they are legit but are not.
eagerly waiting for your next post.
