Finally a big thanks to microsoft for the wonderful operating system. The performance and user interface are simply superb! However, incompatibility of some software arises since everything in this world is not perfect. And a perfect world would be too boring, so there exists some imperfectness :p
Some of you may experience problem in installing google chrome or google earth on windows 7. I also faced this problem when I tried to install google earth or goorle chrome. I got a message like “Install error 8004071c”, after getting this message I was like throwing the windows 7 DVD outside my window! But thanks to google help forum.
Here is the solution, those who are experiencing this problem:
Step by step instructions:
1. Go to start menu type “regedit” (without the quote!) and click enter.

2. Click find on the EDIT menu or you can press shortcut key for find (ctrl + F)

3. Type “imagestate” without the quote and without space then click FIND NEXT

4. After a moment you will see the reg key. Make you sure that you are on the right location as shown on the screenshot below

5. Right click on the imagestate and click modify

3. Select the value data and press backspace to delete the value and click ok.

And you are done! Now you can install google chrome or google earth.
